For as long as I can remember, I have always found it easy to connect with people. Learning how to both listen and respond helped me to feel comfortable in the world around me, amidst change and challenges.
I was raised in New Hampshire and after attending college in NY, I started my career counseling children in Asheville and later obtained my Master of Counseling degree at UNC Greensboro, a #2 nationally ranked program. Over the past 17 years I have worked with individuals and couples from all backgrounds, each with their own story.
I also facilitate a monthly in-person Breast Cancer Support Group through Wesley Long Hospital and Alight Integrative Care.
Every person has a story and being able to share with vulnerability and honesty allows for acceptance and growth.
Companioning clients through both everyday struggles and the most challenging times of their lives, I learned about the power of resiliency.
I researched and was trained in Positive Psychology, a science comprised of assumptions and practical tools that can help all people grow and thrive.
