Our Philosophy
At RKM Counseling, we believe that everyone has the ability to lead a fulfilling life. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that mental and emotional well-being are integral to overall health, and that therapy can help us to find our way.
My name is Ryan Kimberly Mahler and for the past 17 years I have been a Licensed Client Mental Health Counselor (LCHMHC), most recently serving as the Director of Counseling and Wellbeing at a Greensboro hospice. In my work, I have learned about the power of vulnerability, courage and strength. Witnessing people live through unimaginable circumstances and helping them to not only adjust but often thrive gives me confidence that we are all capable of incredible things. And that we all deserve to live the life we want.
Approach
I firmly believe that developing a trusting rapport and trust is the foundation of any productive counseling relationship.
Through a client-centered approach, sessions will be tailored to meet your needs yet there will always be encouragement to intentionally engage you to move in the direction you desire.
